This year's independent retailer-voted awards results are in

The results are in for this year's Independent Toy Awards, with more than 20 Gold Medal Winners voted for by independent retailers, along with Silver Bronze, and Commended products.

The Independent Toy Awards are voted for by a network of independent toy retailers.

This year's Gold Medal Winners are:

Jamie Dickinson, Marketing Manager for Playmobil, which took best licensed toy with its Ghostbusters Ecto-1, said: “We are thrilled and honoured to have been awarded gold in the Licenced category for the Ghostbusters Ecto-1. Since its launch in May it has proven extremely popular with parents and children alike. As this year saw our first venture into entertainment licensing it is fantastic to see that this product been triumphant in these awards and that Hiccup and Toothless also received a commendation.”

Zuru Toys was also celebrating a Gold Medal win for Shnooks, with "delighted" Director and Co-CEO Nick Mowbray saying: “We’re delighted that Shnooks have taken home gold at the Toy Shop UK Independent Toy Awards! We were really excited to re-launch this once global brand and we’ve been getting an amazing reception across markets, so it’s great to see this recognized by the industry.
