Half term treat for charity's guests included special screening of My Little Pony: The Movie and goody bags

Sambro has partnered with a local charity to given something back to the community this half term.

To celebrate the launch of My Little Pony: The Movie, the Bury-based toy suppliers teamed up with local charity Home Start Bury to provide a magical experience. Families from across the area were treated to a private screening of the new film as a special holiday treat. As well as enjoying complimentary snacks and drinks, Sambro and Home Start’s VIP guests were also treated to My Little Pony goody bags. The bags included My Little Pony products from the Sambro range as well as brand new My Little Pony merchandise gifted by Hasbro. The gift bags were kindly donated by Danilo.

"We are extremely proud of our Bury roots and as Sambro continues to grow it is important to us to give something back to families and the wider community in Bury," said Tom Duffy, MD at Sambro. "Home Start Bury do fantastic work within our area supporting young families and it’s a privilege to work with them to gift this special cinematic treat."

Kate Brookes, Scheme Manager at Home Start Bury added: "Kate, Brookes, Manager of Home-Start Bury said: "We are absolutely thrilled that Sambro have chosen Home-Start Bury as the charity to benefit from the film launch. Our families had the most amazing time; seeing the smiles on the children's faces was priceless and we cannot thank Sambro enough. It's a fantastic synergy- a local charity with a company that's also firmly rooted in the local community and we hope to continue our working relationship with them."

Home-Start works with families who are struggling to cope with difficult life circumstances from poverty and poor mental health to illness and disability. Volunteers visit families in their own homes for just a couple of hours each week offering a mix of practical and emotional support.
