Magic Box Toys announces primary school initiative
Will coincide with the launch of SuperZings – Rivals of Kaboom! in January
To support the January 2018 launch of its new collectable range, SuperZings – Rivals of Kaboom!, Magic Box Toys has planned a brand new primary school classroom initiative called SuperZings Show & Tell Super Heroes.
The new initiative has been designed for year one classes, specifically to turn the popular show and tell classroom moment into a much bigger and more engaging experience for five and six year olds across the UK, with the help of the new SuperZings characters. An initial wave of 200 schools will receive a free pack containing everything they need to create memorable show and tell moments in their classrooms.
Ben Harper, Magic Box Toys International, explained: “Working with Playtime PR, we wanted to find a fun yet meaningful and authentic way of bringing the SuperZings into the classroom. From our conversations with teachers at UK primary schools, we know that Show & Tell is a fantastic way for children to develop self-expression, confidence and speaking skills in front of their peers. We feel it’s also the perfect time to create really special classroom moments for every child to enjoy and cherish forever, and so we’ve developed the SuperZings Show & Tell Super Heroes initiative to help teachers make even more of Show & Tell in Year One. The fact that many primary schools now also use ‘Learning Super Powers’ makes SuperZings even more relevant.”
Hitting UK shelves in January 2018, the SuperZings are everyday objects brought to life in a fun, comic hero vs villain rivalry theme. Clad in iconic superhero capes and eye-masks, there are more than 80 multicoloured characters to collect, each with a matching rival, which adds a fun new dimension to the collectable mechanic: unwrap a hero orange – Mr C – and you’ll want to find his rival Jack the Juicer. Discover an ice cube and you’ll need to find the hairdryer!
Schools are being invited to register for a free SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero pack, which contains: specially-created teacher materials and classroom activities based on popular Learning Super Powers; an exclusive SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero cape for children to wear during their Show & Tell moment plus SuperZings blind bags, stickers and a classroom poster to adorn the SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero corner. Every child at participating schools will also have the chance to design a SuperZings Show & Tell Super Hero eye mask – there are SuperZings prizes up for grabs and one child will also win £500 for their school.
Schools are now being recruited to the initiative at www.superzingsschools.co.uk and packs will be delivered to successful applicants in January to coincide with SuperZings hitting UK shelves. For further information, contact Magic Box Toys on 01403 251286.
