Event hailed "best day ever" with highlights including The Entertainer Unboxing Zone and the Shopkins Treat Truck

Kidtropolis, the UK’s Best Kid’s Event took place on Friday 6 April, Saturday 7 April and Sunday 8 April at the NEC, Birmingham.

Welcoming over 21,000 visitors to the sellout debut show at the NEC, the event has delivered a 99 per cent success rate among children and parents.

Described by visitors as the "best day ever" and "beyond awesomeness", highlights among the many popular areas at the show included The Entertainer Unboxing Zone that featured YouTubers and unboxing of product lines from Flair, Hasbro and Spin Master. Nintendo Switch was also packed throughout with a choice of games to play along, with the Shopkins Treat Truck, I-Top and Brio areas also packed, offering visitors free treats, exciting activities and unlimited fun.

Bryan Cooney, Director at Kidtropolis, said: “We are so thrilled with the feedback we’ve had from visitors. We have been astounded by the volume of thank you messages and incredible comments we’ve received. The team worked extremely hard to deliver our debut event at the NEC. Of course there are improvements which we will strive to deliver to ensure Kidtropolis is even more awesome next time. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our next show."

Live performances from Kid’s Mega star Kira Kosarin, Kidz Bop and Andy Day and the Odd Socks blew the roof off the NEC and if that wasn’t enough, organisers then offered a giant 60 metre-long inflatable obstacle course, the Mega Magazine Roblox and Minecraft area, roller skating, inflatable slides, a carousel, soft play, trampolining, art and craft and messy play from Mess Around. Other hits included a Penalty Shootout with Birmingham City Football Club, Wasps Rugby Interactive Zone, and of course costume character meet and greets with PAW Patrol, The Lorax, Stick Man, My Little Pony’s Twilight Sparkle, The Gruffalo, Masha and the Bear, and Legoland Discovery Centre’s Bertie.
