Cartamundi and Marigó team up for Spanish market

Cartamundi and Spanish games manufacturer Marigó have joined forces to develop Cartamundi’s playing card range for the Spanish market by offering a larger range of products and a simplified distribution service.

Customers such as retailers, stationery shops and toy stores will be able to contact Cartamundi/Marigó direct for both card products and a large range of generic games and game components.
Marigó is a Spanish games manufacturer, located in La Roca del Vallès near to Barcelona. The company was established by Miguel Marigó Cardós in 1929 and currently produces plastic game components such as dice and chess pieces as well as manufacturing and assembling complete games such as dominoes, chess, checkers, bingo games or travel games. For its travel games Marigó holds exclusive licence agreements with well known Football teams such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, which allows it to use the logo and colours of the team. Marigó also offers its customers the possibility to create tailormade games.
In addition to its manufacturing facility, Marigó has extensive warehousing capacity to handle direct delivery to its customers. Marigó employs seven people and saw a turnover of 1.7 million last year.

Cartamundi Espana will work out of the Marigó building, where it will be able to stock its own card products as well, which will improve the delivery service to its customers. Furthermore, the customers will now be able to order both card products and party games through one contact.

Within the structure of Cartamundi Espana, the management of Marigó will stay in charge of the Marigó business unit.
