Turner brings digital ad sales in-house

Turner Media Innovations, the advertising and media consultancy arm of Turner Broadcasting, has brought its online display ad sales in-house, effective from February 21st 2011.

Turner Media Innovations currently handles video ad sales, sponsorship and promotion campaigns on Turner Broadcasting’s kids websites, which includes Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Cartoonito.

Building on its unique position as the only kids broadcaster to have an in-house sales team, the move will enable Turner Media Innovations to offer advertisers a full range of ad sales options across all available platforms.
 
It comes on the back of a bumper year for the broadcaster, which has recorded 87 per cent YoY revenue increase for its existing digital sales business across video and integrated ad sales.
 
As part of the new structure, Turner Media Innovations is parting company with AOL UK, who have handled the account since 2008. Turner is currently recruiting for two newly created roles to facilitate the team’s expanded remit.
