John Adams secures Rubik’s Cube licence

John Adams will announce the acquisition of the Rubik’s Cube license at Toy Fair this week.

John Adams plans for the brand kick off off with the launch of tRubik’s Race - a fast-paced head-to-head two player strategy game, which will hit TV screens later this year.

The Rubik’s Cube, Rubik’s 360, Rubik’s Twist and Rubik’s Keyring are launching in new iconic colours, completing the cross brand packaging style. Featuring newly designed eco-friendly packaging, Rubik’s is also designed to work harder for retailers by maximising shelf space and increasing profitability per metre.

The Rubik’s brand will be re-launched with three new TV commercials and a major increase in TV spend in 2011, featuring the new line look packaging.

“This is a fantastic chance for us to work with a brand which has a global iconic status,” believes Simon Pilkington, managing director at John Adams: “Rubik’s products appeal to young and old and have been re-developed to appeal to a new generation of fans,” he added.
