Mark Prisk visits Golden Bear

Mark Prisk, MP for Business, Innovation and Skills, visited Golden Bear as part of his tour of the Midlands.

Prisk was greeted by product and marketing director Christine Nicholls. Mr Prisk had a particular interest in how a British company is progressing in this tough economy climate.

Mr Prisk was given an insight on the importance of licensing within the Toy Industry both in the UK and Worldwide. He was also given a tour of the design and product development departments where he was impressed by the skills and knowledge of the Golden Bear team.

He was particularly interested in the My 1st JCB range and the New Driver Dan Story Train.

Wenlock and Mandeville also caught the MP’s eye. With July being a year to go until the London 2012 Olympics, Mark Prisk commented that the Union Jack versions of the mascots will appeal to all ages in their red, white and blue flag design. He was also impressed with the other special editions the Beefeater, Queen’s Guard and Police Office.
