Nickelodeon on board for Lite Sprites campaign
Lite Sprites is launching a new marketing campaign across UK and Ireland this week.
Running from July through to December, the multi platform campaign is designed to build collectability within the world of Lite-Topia.
Lite-Topia is a place where girls have the power to magically capture, transfer and share colour and light.
The first Lite Sprites commercial goes live on TV this week. The commercial stars Prisma, the Lite Wand and the Lite Sprites as the key entry points into the brand. New commercials featuring the Deluxe Playsets and the Tree of Lite will be introduced in September and October sharing news with girls.
The Lite Sprites launch will be supported by a four-week promotional campaign on Nickelodeon.
The Lite Sprites star in one minute ‘mini episodes’ broadcast daily which feature specially created animation that tells the story of how the Lite Sprites discover their wands and how to make colourful magic. The ‘mini episodes’ are combined into an omnibus edition airing on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Lite Sprites spots also drive viewers to a Nickelodeon Lite Sprites micro-site. Here girls are given the opportunity to win a favourite Lite Sprite every day. There is a wide range of content to watch including all the mini episodes and a one minute introduction to the range.
Sally Plumridge, WowWee UK, commented: "We know from our research that Lite Sprites is really something very special for girls. We have a phenomenal platform for launch with truly magical and engaging content that will be reaching girls strategically throughout their worlds. The partnership with Nickelodeon is not just creatively excellent, but it enables us to connect with our target audience in an impactful, engaging and immediate way.”
Julia Scales, Sky Media, viacom sponsorship manager, added: "The Lite Sprites campaign will engage the Nickelodeon audience by creating intrigue and excitement around the individual characters. Nickelodeon share brand values with Lite Sprites, putting kids first and encouraging fun and imagination. Nickelodeon is thrilled to play a part in the Lite Sprites launch."
