New animation series on Disney channels has debuted with exceptional EMEA ratings with IMC Toys toy range coming this summer

Intergalactic animation adventure series, Miles from Tomorrow, has debuted with strong ratings on Disney Junior, watched by more than 2.5 million viewers since debuting 11 May, Disney UK has said.

In the show’s first week alone, more than 10% of all UK kids aged 4-7 tuned in, cementing Disney Junior as the highest rated Pay TV kids channel in the UK. For the month of May, Miles from Tomorrow ranked as the number one highest rated show on the channel across all key demographics. This success has also been mirrored across EMEA, with an impressive 8.7 million viewers, of which 2.6 million were young kids and 1.1 million were young boys.

To coincide with the show’s launch, Disney Store debuted a range of new toys, costumes, clothing and accessories inspired by the adventure, themes, and characters in the show, which are now available in store and online at

Based on parents’ feedback and demand in EMEA, a full line of toys, role-play items, home décor and apparel will be available at mass retailers. IMC Toys is the EMEA master toy licensee for the series, and will see product launch in the UK from August before rolling out across other key European markets.

David Levine, General Manager, Disney Channels UK & Ireland said: “We’re thrilled to see Miles from Tomorrow lift-off with such an impressive start. Through our intrepid explorer Miles, the show gives young viewers an insight into a magicial world centred around curiosity and discovery, which are fundamental to preschoolers’ everyday learning experiences. The series complements Disney Junior’s stable of shows that capture the hearts and imaginations of kids and families around the world.”

The series incorporates unique space and science facts into the storylines that chart the outer space missions of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family as they help connect the galaxy on behalf of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Miles from Tomorrow boasts a stellar voice cast that includes Olivia Munn (The Newsroom), Cullen McCarthy (Mr. Peabody & Sherman), Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), and Fiona Bishop (Sofia the First), as well as guest stars including Adrian Grenier (Entourage), Mark Hamill (Star Wars), and George Takei (Star Trek).

The success of the series follows news earlier this year that a second series of the hit-show has been greenlit.
