Cabbage Patch kids turn 30

Series 3 30th Anniversary Celebration Kids to launch later this year alongside 'then and now' marketing campaign

One of the biggest selling toys in 2012, Cabbage Patch Kids return for 2013 to celebrate their 30th Anniversary supported by an extensive Memory Lane themed Marketing and PR campaign, designed to re-introduce the loveable collectable toys to a new generation of mums and daughters.

Designed and created in 1983 by Xavier Roberts, over 123 million Cabbage Patch Kids have been 'born' in the past 30 years. An average of 8 born every minute! Now in their 30th year, the brand continues to go from strength to strength with new range introductions for 2013 including Series 2 of the classic Cabbage Patch Kids dolls and new Cuties. Later in the year a collection of Series 3 30th Anniversary Celebration Kids, Babies and Baby Land themed characters will be launched into the range.

Activity around the 30th Anniversary will include a major launch event linking the Cabbage Patch Kids of the ‘80’s with today’s refreshed line, a retailer character costume tour and an ongoing campaign of experiential activities exploring the then and now elements of the brand.
