Hasbro expands Marvel product line

New toys, action figures, playsets, vehicles and plush to be launched alongside the release of Marvel Super Hero Squad

The new TV series Marvel Super Hero Squad is set to air on January 30 on Discovery/Hasbro kidsnet The Hub.

As part of the exciting new series which follows the likes of Transformers and G.I Joe, the world’s second-largest toy company Hasbro is launching an expanded line of consumer products.

The Marvel Super Hero Adventures brand debuted under the Playskool banner in fall 2011 and is based on the animated Marvel Super Hero Squad series.

The expanded line will feature toys, action figures, playsets, vehicles, role-play and plush products. Some of the products will debut in February at this year’s American International Toy Fair while the rest of the range will spread across the rest of 2012.

Jakks Pacific have struck a deal with Marvel Entertainment to produce a line of plush products based on Marvel Super Hero Squad characters.
