Let’s rally for the Toy Trust

20th anniversary of Toy Trust sees a special focus on new and fun events – and raises lots of cash!

2012 sees the Toy Trust celebrate its 20th anniversary. With this in mind, the BTHA has focused on creating a number of special events which will help the trust raise a huge £300,000, this year alone. Reaching – or in fact exceeding – this target will mean that Toy Trust has raised more than £3million in the past 20 years!

One of the main events is the Thee Peaks Challenge, taking place on the 6th/7th July, and it has already received huge support and is now fully subscribed. Our very own Kris Pace is taking part and is looking for you support. Click on the link below to donate money.
With him will be 94 keen, committed and fit individuals representing 23 companies from around the industry, hiking Mount Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis over the course of two days, all in aid of the industry’s charity.

In addition, to this are the following:

A ‘Money Can’t Buy’ auction will be launched in April offering people the chance to bid for 10 distinctive and rare items/experiences.

The annual FUNdraiser - consisting of an alternative costume triathlon and other fun activities - will once again take place at Rutland Water on Friday 22nd June. Members of the industry and indeed the wider public are encouraged to host their own localised charity event to help raise funds for the Trust.
An Events Manual containing guidance on co-ordinating an event can be downloaded from the Toy Trust section of the BTHA website.

For more information on all the events and fundraising activities taking place in 2012 visit the BTHA website www.btha.co.uk/toytrust or contact Matt Jones on 020 7701 7127 / email: matt@btha.co.uk.

Overall, £180,000 was raised for the Toy Trust in 2011. In a bid to raise £300k in 2012, a great start was made with the annual Media Auction, which concluded at the Toy Industry Awards in January, raising £86,660.
