Mattel catches new SVP
Manufacturing giant appoints Edward Catchpole as Senior Vice President, HIT Brands
Former Disney Consumer Products executive, Edward Catchpole, will head up the UK office with geographical responsibility for Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Japan and will report into Executive Vice President, Fisher-Price, David Allmark.
In addition, Catchpole will orchestrate marketing strategy for the global HIT Brands.
Allmark comments: “Edward comes to us with a wealth of experience and skills including leadership management and brand and intellectual property management. This appointment clearly demonstrates Mattel’s commitment to own, develop and grow world-class brands.”
He continues: “I am very excited about the prospects ahead for the collective Fisher-Price and HIT Entertainment brand portfolio.”
Previously, Catchpole was SVP Europe and Emerging Markets for Disney Consumer Products. Prior to Disney, he worked for New Millennium Experience Company as Design and Development Merchandise Director.
The HIT portfolio includes such premier pre-school properties as Thomas & Friends, Barney, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and Angelina Ballerina.
