Shaun the Sheep joins Rainbow’s flock

New deal sees Rainbow Designs as the new Master Toy and Gift Licensee

Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep is the latest star to join Rainbow’s cast of licensed characters and visitors to Toy Fair (Stand E40) can see the exciting new Shaun the Sheep collection on show for the first time.

The cool, quirky and comical Shaun the Sheep line will include a fabulous new range of soft toys, gifts and novelty products.

Anthony Temple, Rainbow Designs’ Managing Director says: “Shaun the Sheep is an iconic international brand, which is going from strength to strength, and is the perfect addition to our prolific portfolio of licensed children’s characters.

“We are delighted to be working with Aardman again and to build upon our successful Wallace & Gromit relationship. Toy Fair is the perfect launch pad for our Shaun the Sheep collection and we look forward to unveiling the new products to retailers,” adds Anthony.

Following hot on the heels of Rainbow’s plush collection will be a brand new for 2013 Shaun the Sheep collection targeting the retro collectable and social expression market.

Over 4.6 million Shaun the Sheep DVDs have sold worldwide with 212 TV, DVD and digital deals. Exciting new plans for 2012/2013 include a third series of 20 x7’ episodes, taking the episode total to 100, as well as brand new ‘Championsheeps’ TV spots for summer 2012.
    
The Shaun the Sheep Championesheeps suite of online games has had more than 3.6 million visits since December 2010 and the Home Sheep Home game plays have reached more than 107 million. Following its success a sequel, Home Sheep Home 2, was launched at the end of last year.

Rainbow Designs is the name behind a host of licensed children’s characters including Wibbly Pig, The Gruffalo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Miffy, Paddington Bear, The World of Beatrix Potter, Stripy Horse, Charlie & Lola and Abney & Teal.
