Toy Fair launch: Culica
The London Toy Fair spawns a new 3D handheld game
The new game, Culica, is designed so that red, yellow, green and blue pegs can be placed on a cube to achieve various goals.
Culica has over twenty-six games rules, each with a completely different game play and the game can be played by yourself or with friends.
Culica promotes the idea of children growing through play, away from TVs and computers. The game needs no batteries and can be played anywhere!
Culica Ltd has gone from prototype to selling online and in the British High Street (Lakeland and Hamleys) within nine months.
The game was pitched to the Dragons' Den last summer, but failed to attract any investment. Duncan Bannatyne exclaimed that he would be dead before it sold 5000 units. James (creator) made a £10 bet with Duncan that he will sell them, and it's well on the way to doing so!
Culica Ltd is also producing software games to compliment the hardware game.
