Dragon-I Toys gets Apps crazy

Hong Kong-based Dragon-I toys signs Talking Tom and Talking Ben licences

Hong Kong-based Dragon-I toys has just signed the global licence to sell two of the hottest Apps of the moment; Talking Tom and Talking Ben.

The company has secured the exclusive licence for all plush and animation using their patented Talk back feature as seen on the app! The product replicates the sounds which are the main draw of the app.

The plush toys will launch in spring of 2012 and presented at the forthcoming January previews in Hong Kong.

Owner Dave Cave says: "This is a very exciting launch for us, especially on the back of the highly global success of chatimals, which sold over US$30m! Talking Tom and Ben and all the other Talking friends, available on Outfit 7's apps, will have been downloaded around 700 million times by end of 2012, an incredible global penetration."

Dave continues: "The app developers, outfit 7, will also be able to send via all smart phone users who have the app, a message telling users the toy product has launched and information about the toy products available. We will also be doing TV promotion in certain countries to be announced in January."
