Ready to entertain to Grimsby
New The Entertainer store to open this weekend
Grimsby is a hive of activity thanks to a new The Entertainer store which is about to fling open its doors ready for trading.
This latest store is part of the large-scale expansion of the toy store group, which is planned for 2012, led by the retailer's husband and wife owners Gary and Catherine Grant.
The Entertainer has more than shops already, and the company is planning to open one a month by the end of the year.
The latest opening follows hot on the heels of The Entertainer being named Toy Retailer Of The Year at January's Toy Industry Awards, 31 years after the business was launched.
Tracey Mason, who joined The Entertainer team 12 months ago and is heading up the store opening says: "It has been hard work getting everything ready, but it is really good to see everything coming together.
"Having walked into an empty shell, all of the stuff has gone in and all of a sudden you have a brand new beautiful shop.
The store is lining up some great entertainment and toy demos for the opening and Amanda Austin, centre director of Freshney Place, where the store is located, says: "The Entertainer is a fantastic addition to Freshney Place and we're all incredibly excited about its grand opening.
"I hope families from all over the region come down to the centre on Saturday to get involved and see what the store has to offer it promises to be a day out to remember."
